Assessments:
Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties/Disorders and cognitive assessments are offered. Costs vary depending on how many sessions and which individual assessment tools are required to complete the assessments. This will be curated and discussed with you at your first parent session.
Fees are currently $230 a session. A medicare rebate for part of the session fee can be obtained with an appropriate referral and mental health treatment plan, which can be accessed from your local GP or paediatrician. Medicare rebates for Autism assessments can be obtained only through a Paediatrician.
Ages 4-18 (for counselling and assessment).
Therapy:
Jen uses a variety of modalities to support the children and adolescents that she works with. This includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)-modified for children, mindfulness, psychoeducation, play therapy and other creative therapies. This is in coordination with the foundations of rapport, trust, safety and unjudgmental curiosity.
Jen adapts therapeutic styles to the individual needs of the children and adolescents who attend. The treehouse psychology room is designed to support sensory needs, with softened lighting and a variety of sensory tools and toys to assist children and adolescents to feel comfortable in the space.
